Emanuela comes from a family of six children that were raised without a father. Her mother asked for our help when she realized she would never be able to offer her daughter an opportunity to attend a proper school in the city that could prepare her for a potential future job. We started helping Ema (as we call her) in 2010 when she was in the 9th grade. She was included in our Safe Harbor project, a project designed specifically for young adults in preparation for independent living. The main goal was to teach her how to take care of herself, to organize her time according to a family structure, to balance a budget, to clean, to do her own shopping, laundry and cooking, all while she continued her school studies.
Our Lord has worked in many miraculous ways since then. Ema was admitted to the best high school in Botosani and applied herself, finishing at the top of her class. Her high school major in biology and chemistry studies helped her later on as she opted to continue her education as a registered nurse in a three year college course.
Ema got married in May, 2016. Her Hand of Help family supported her as she embarked on her new journey. She is now an independent young lady, has two beautiful children (twins) and we are happy to see another seed of our labor grow so beautifully and develop into a mature fruit! Her husband is hardworking and has decided to take on temporary employment in Germany in order to provide everything his young family needs.
We thank you for supporting Ema and for helping her break the chains of poverty and social seclusion. She has seen the Hand of God over her and because of all of your sacrifice and labor, she is now not only a responsible adult with a family of her own, but has gotten to know our Lord and Savior, which is the answer to our prayers and that which gives us the strength to continue to do what we do.
